When compared to other options out there, Texas Hearing Clinic manages to sell all levels of hearing devices at very reasonable prices. We are able to accomplish this because of a few core principals:
1.) We rarely advertise. We rely almost entirely on word of mouth. When you are happy, you tell others and so on. This allows us to keep the price of products lower than a lot of our competition.
2.) Reception. You may have noticed, when you call Texas Hearing Clinic you usually speak directly with the Audiologist. Although this is temporary, for now, its a great cost reduction and reflects our current agility.
3.) Small offices. Texas Hearing Clinic started our company by taking over an existing practice and shrinking it by 2/3 size. Our footprint has been completely optimized. This means less walking, less overhead, etc. This cost savings is ultimately passed on to you.
4.) We don't bundle. Many competitors bundle their products including thousands in fees for future appointments you may never use. This "all-inclusive" model can be upwards of $6,000-$8,000 for a pair of devices. Premium devices at Texas Hearing Clinic are never more than $5,000 for a pair. We estimate the patient savings for un-bundling alone is somewhere around $1,500/patient, every 3-5 years.
5.) Negotiation. Because Texas Hearing Clinic controls our supply chain and isn't contracted with any particular company, we are able to push wholesalers to give us their best price. This additional savings is passed on to the patient.
What we value:
1.) Education. We value education highly. All Texas Hearing Clinic physicians are licensed doctors of Audiology, not technicians or dispensers. This is a core principle that will not change. We will continue to seek future employees from top universities. This value system is evident in our partnership with University of Texas' Communication Sciences and Disorders doctorate in Au.D. program. Students can work toward their required 1,820 clinical practicum hours at one of our facilities including their 4th year externship. This allows for a great learning environment and allows us to meet and work with the best in Texas. We plan on hiring future full-time physicians from this pool of candidates.
